As Christmas approaches and another year draws to a close, we’re taking a moment to reflect on another busy and rewarding year at Trafalgar. From major London exhibitions and public sector events to long-standing cultural festivals, places of worship and hospitality venues, 2025 has once again demonstrated the versatility of temporary structures. And the importance of experience, planning and teamwork.
Here are some of the highlights from the year.
For the second year running, we were delighted to support the Digital Accountancy Show at Evolution London in Battersea Park. With the event continuing to grow year on year, the organisers needed additional space to support talks, breakout sessions and drinks receptions.
We created a 20m x 30m marquee in the adjacent car park, transforming hardstanding into a fully serviced extension of the main venue. The build took place the day before the show, followed by an overnight de-rig to ensure the space was cleared efficiently in this exceptionally busy central London location. Weighted with concrete ballast and fitted with solid doors, panoramic windows, heating, lighting, roof linings and illuminated fire exit signage, the structure allowed the organisers to increase capacity (and revenue) without compromise.
We were proud to once again support Employ Wandsworth, delivering a large-scale jobs fair at Whitelands College in Roehampton. As an approved supplier to Richmond and Wandsworth Councils for many years, this project required precision planning to meet tight timescales.
A 20m x 30m marquee was installed in just one day to accommodate around 900 attendees and 60 stands, before being de-rigged immediately after the event. Complete with solid flooring, carpet, heating, lighting and fire safety signage, the structure created a safe, comfortable and professional environment, making it possible for the event to take place at the required scale.
Our long-standing relationship with Denbies Vineyard & Hotel continued in 2025, with the installation of additional covered dining space for the Wine Library Restaurant during the summer season.
Originally planned for the restaurant’s patio area, the structure was later relocated to an adjacent grassed area to work around site restrictions. A 4.5m x 9m marquee with clear panoramic PVC panels provided weatherproof dining while preserving views across the vineyard. The result was a focal point for the restaurant, helping increase capacity, protect revenue during unsettled weather and enhance the overall guest experience.
One of the year’s most distinctive projects saw us working once again with St Paul’s Church, Covent Garden (the Actors’ Church). During renovation works to the main building, the church needed a fully operational temporary structure within its consecrated garden, all while maintaining public access and regular footfall from parishioners, visitors and tourists.
Within a tight footprint and restrictive build schedule, we installed a 6m x 21m marquee over two days. The structure was fitted with clear panoramic panels, solid flooring, carpet, lighting and illuminated fire exit signs, enabling the church to continue hosting christenings, weddings, weekly services and even community events such as West End Woofs. The temporary space allowed full continuity of operations without disrupting renovation works.
Festivals and community events remain a cornerstone of our work. This year marked a special milestone at the Marylebone Music Festival, as we supported its 10-year anniversary in Manchester Square Gardens. It was a privilege to once again help transform this iconic setting into a covered performance space and to celebrate a decade of music with the festival team.
We also returned for the third year running to support the Dorking High Street Festival, supplying three 12m marquees and a stage to help create a vibrant focal point for live performances and community celebrations in the heart of the town.
As we close out the year, we’re incredibly grateful to all of our clients for trusting us with such a diverse range of projects. From complex city-centre builds to long-term partnerships and repeat events, 2025 has reinforced the value of flexible, well-planned temporary space.
With projects already in the diary for schools, events, hospitality and public sector clients, we’re looking ahead with real excitement. If you’re planning a project that needs additional space, short or long term, we’d love to hear from you.
Let’s make the year ahead another great one together.
