Richmond and Wandsworth Councils have relied on Trafalgar Marquees as an approved supplier for many years, and for the 2025
Employ Wandsworth jobs fair they once again needed additional space to bring the event to life. Hosted at Whitelands College in Roehampton, the fair was expecting around 900 attendees and 60 stands, far more than the available indoor facilities could accommodate.
The Challenge
With only a single day allocated for the build and another for the de-rig, the project needed a large, fully equipped event space delivered on a tight schedule, in a busy London location with limited flexibility.
The Solution
We provided a 20m x 30m marquee, purpose-built to house the full jobs fair. The structure was erected within the one-day installation window and was fitted out to ensure a comfortable, professional environment for exhibitors and visitors alike.
Extras included:
- Lighting
- Solid flooring with carpet
- Heating
- Solid doors
- Illuminated fire exit signage
Despite the time constraints and urban site conditions, the team delivered and removed the structure exactly to schedule, ensuring the event could proceed without disruption.
The Results
The marquee created the essential additional space needed to host the full 900 attendees and all 60 exhibitor stands in one dedicated area. It allowed the council to run the event at the scale required, increasing capacity, improving visitor flow, and ensuring a positive experience for everyone involved.
